elrich
Hi need recommendation. I would like to take a trip for three or four days around May 16th to Manzanillo. Looking for resort, bungalow or condominium with pool and access to the beach. And all so some sort of night life close by. If you have been to such place I appreciate your input. Thank you. Floradude
If you enjoy very hot and humid Manzanillo in May, like all the beaches, is a nice place to visit.
Mainecoons
Check out Playa Grande Condos on the ocean just north of Cihuatlan. Not as hot as Manzanillo. Not ocean swimmable but huge pools complete with swim up bar. https://www.goplayagrande.com/ https://www.vrbo.com/451531?noDates=true&unitId=1034642 https://www.vrbo.com/4698547ha?noDates=true&unitId=5662571 We've been going there for years, super quiet and nice, you'll have the beach to yourself. 2BR is the smallest rental size. Jreboll
Stayed at Club Maeva about 45 years ago. Had a good time but can’t remember details that far back.
tomgates
I echo the pink Posada. Easy to find on-line.
NoVaDamer
We stayed at the Las Hadas resort in February (my write-up linked). We had an AirBnB, but there is also a hotel (and other options). All have access to a group of waterfront restaurants, pools, beaches, and some clubs (we didn't visit the latter). Views from the Santiago peninsula are amazing. http://pat-the-expat.com/2022/02/10/manzanillo-colima/

gringal
Mainecoons: The place you recommended sounds nice, but what is the price for the units?

Click on the links and add trial dates. With everything about $140-150 per night for the 2BR. I have an email for the owner of that one if you are interested you can probably arrange a direct better deal. It is for sale for $160K U.S. as well. Remember, these aren't hotel rooms, they are spacious fully equipped condos. Here's what the beach looked like during the very high beach week of Santa Sermana. This place is super quiet. About 30 minutes north of Manzanillo where the Manzanillo bypass merges with Route 200. 10 minutes north of Cihuatlan.
RickS
Elrich, if one is looking for upscale resort-like accommodations then the Pink Palace is not the place. BUT if looking for a great, low key place with nice rooms, a pool, nice sala and good beach then the Pink Palace is THE place. Been there many times. Always enjoyed it. RickS ...and not great, but very decent restaurants a short drive or cab ride away. We once stayed there and arranged a tour with the then manager of the place on his day off and saw some great areas we never would have found by ourselves. The honor beer bar is also cute, you toss your cap in a cup with your room number and settle up at the end. A place everyone should try at least once.
El Cartero
I used to use Karmina Palace and quite liked it. All inclusive. Haven’t been to ZLO in a few years tho.
RickS
Pappy I think that if one tries it once they can't help but try it again. Haven't been there in several years but just talking about it makes me want to return. Have some good memories from there.... like the time I went walking down the beach to the jetty to watch the big container ships coming in. Then decided to walk 'inland' from the jetty "right into the Naval Operations Place"... the gate was open and I did NOT know just what it was. I was quickly greeted by 2 men in uniforms AND big guns. "Si Senor I will turn around right this moment"!!!
