Kdsss1941
When is the best time to trim back lavender in Chapala? My plants are from local sellers and have tall flowers that are slowly dying off. There are a lot of buds lower down. I've been deadheading, but am wondering if early April is the right time to prune down to the new growth. TIA
mudgirl
I think you can prune back perennial herbs at any point. When cutting culinary and medicinal herbs to dry and use, it's done just before they flower, as that is when they are most potent.
Kdsss1941
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the potency factor. Katherine 🌻
