Chandler
When my wife and I lived in both Nayarit and Jalisco in the early 2000"s we had the "Amistad" or "Amigo" account which at the time was offered between Citi and Banamex in a partnership. It was very simple with negligible fees and good exchange rates. The program was ended sometime after we returned to the US. Is there anything comparable anymore? We planning on a 3 month stay later this year and I'd appreciate some feedback about current "best" banking solutions.
gringal
State Department Federal Credit Union. Good rates; no problem with Mexican addresses.
tomgates
Schwab is good because they rebate any alien ATM charges. Just don't tell them you live in Mexico. I always had an iShop mailbox with a Laredo, TX address.

bobby brown
I use Santander--I have an account in Mexico and the US.--I use multiple banks to have access to use their ATM's to get a lot of Pesos in a day if I need it--
