Mexicans want to please and put a contented look on your face. Whether the response is accurate or not, leaves a lot to be desired. Yep, learned that the first year we were in Ajijic. Our cook's daughter needed to see a dentist in Chapala. The 3 of us were in my car and suddenly Rosario didn't know where it was. So we stopped 3 times and SHE asked locals where it was.
