Any chance you could learn how to provide a clickable link? And please stop cherry picking the parts you like.

Trump achieves major victories for veterans: Opposing view (usatoday.com)

Trump says he supports troops. His record says otherwise: Our view (usatoday.com)

Talk about cherry picking... the first link is a very positive article regarding the improvements in VA Healthcare wrought by trump which is what we were discussing here:

Trump achieves major victories for veterans

The administration has implemented reforms that increase accountability and expand health care choices, and former servicemembers support them: Opposing view

The second link has nothing to to with VA Healthcare, written by someone with totally different beefs about the military. Again, get your FACTS STRAIGHT and stop digging!!!

I'm out of reactions for the day but loved the above comic. Yes,  there are sheeple out there...

what has Biden done for the VA? - Google Search

And what has Biden done for the VA? Almost nothing...your own search:

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/11/30/politics/biden-veterans-laws/index.html

I do not see much in there regarding VA Healthcare, the subject we are discussing...maybe because Trump had repaired and upgraded it to become a premium service in his term. Most of these "programs" involve bogus race and gender based approaches that were already in place for generations. Remember (again let history be your guide), the US military was in the vanguard of racial equality, well before the politicians got thier act together!!!

Read more carefully. And, needless to say, Biden RESPECTS Veterans. Keep your blinkers on although they keep you from seeing the whole picture.

My blinkers have always been off...I am sure that Biden respects Veterans, however this chain originated as to who restored the VA Healthcare system to the point it is today, and you had denigrated that. Check the FACTS to see what us Vets think of the system in place today that was put in place by you know who...end of story!!!

I hope that you are enjoying the vino tinto...this completely off the wall dribble you post has nothing to do with what the original discussion here was about...the state of the VA Healthcare system when Trump took office compared to what is is today!!! The FACTS are in. He did what he said he would do and us vets are very happy!!! Get over it and stop digging...you are at the bottom of the pit and are about to be buried....

"AP FACT CHECK: Trump’s false ‘Choice’ on vets’ health care

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is putting forth a false “Choice” when he boasts about a program aimed at improving veterans’ health care by steering more patients to the private sector.

Heading toward the Memorial Day weekend, Trump bragged anew that he got the Veterans Choice program passed so veterans now can choose to go to private doctors immediately for care if they have to wait too long for appointments at government-run VA medical facilities.

But the Choice program was achieved by his predecessor. And it is currently restricted because of the coronavirus outbreak.

A look at his statements:

"TRUMP: “We’ve done the greatest job maybe of anything in the VA, because I got VA Choice … approved.” — remarks Monday.

THE FACTS: False. He didn’t get Veterans Choice approved; President Barack Obama did in 2014. Trump expanded it, under a 2018 law known as the MISSION Act."

I happen to have VA Healthcare that I earned with 4 years of service to my country!!!

Sounds like a great socialist program, lifetime care for only 4 years service (which I do support by the way)......you are so happy to be "entitled to your entitlements" when they work in your favour.

Just get some perspective about it, eh?

Another way to look at -he gambled and won while others gambled and lost every thing-just like SS-some collect to a ripe old age while others never live to collect--don't try to judge everything by your politics--

Entitled people are like the elite socialists. They only want things for themselves because “they earned it”.

I was not entitled to SS-I was forced into it--NO  SS # ; no life--  I had no choice to join the army in 1967 ; I was drafted-and  I was lucky to survive Vietnam with an honorable discharge.

WHAAAAAT??? I was living a very good life as a young man, good job, Buick convertible and ladies galore. Then in the middle of the Vietnam war I got a notice "Uncle Sam wants you!". This was a "demand" for reporting to the Army for a 2 year term, most likely a jungle post with ultimate consequences of injury, disease, mental health problems or death. What were my options: one was running to Canada as a coward as many did, and I had many relatives there on my mothers side. Another was volunteering for the Navy or Air Force and hope that they might accept you for thier minimum 4 year term. I applied for the Air Force and was accepted. I spent those 4 years at a boring clerical job, living in a drab barracks, on a paupers wage, and eating bad food at the canteen. And what were you doing at this time if you were living then? Of course women were not subject to the draft anyway! If you know anything about the history of this time, with my honorable discharge there were no "thank you for your service", in fact you tried to hide it due to the virulent anti war sentiment at the time. The GI Bill was in effect then as some sort or compensation for this brutal reality of many, many young men at this time being yanked out of thier lives in thier prime for years...and you are passing some sort of judgment as to if we deserved this??? PLEEEZE!!!

It's fine for you to explain your military history, but why do you always feel it necesssary to get some right-winger dig into every post?

Men who went to Canada to escape the draft didn't do it because they were cowards, they did it because they didn't believe the US had any business being in Vietnam, that it was a pointless war, and additionally, they were pacifists.

Not agreeing with going off to kill people on the other side of the planet who pose no threat to you isn't something that makes one a coward. Not wanting to join the military doesn't make someone a coward.

Just as strutting around with a gun doesn't make someone a hero.

These are the most $%&/()ic statements I have seen here and you have made many. You are not living in the real world...GET A LIFE!!!

Maybe you think that breaking the law is a choice, like all of those WOKE DA's El Norte who are letting every kind of repeat criminal and even murderers run the streets. How's that working out there??? And don't give me any "PROTESTERS" BS either. They were pure criminals that were lucky that Jimmy Carter (another great president!) felt "sorry" for them and gave them a pardon, while all of us who did the right thing had to bear the burden...GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

Why don't YOU get on your bike (or trike) and ride off into the sunset!!!I am not going to stand by and let some bimbo denigrate my military history even though I still call myself a reluctant warrior. I did what I had to do like millions of others during those troubled times.

Do you think that gives you a pass to use such offensive terms?  Why not consider being civil........that applies to all the posters on here.  See "rules".
