source for cbd oil?

Recommended Posts

Agreed. Everyone is not the same. But, CBD is a wonderful development for many ailments but getting the proper stuff is key. Your experience will turn a lot of people off from even trying it. I know other people who take it and have never reported being high. It MUST be third party tested or I wouldn't even try it. To use your previous analogy... it's the difference between the patented medicine and the generic but magnified.

Perhaps it was because I have had 3 strokes  and 2 mini strokes ,I got stoned.

I personally know people in Canada who produce CBD oils. The amount of THC in them varies, and they work directly with the people who have medical issues to fiddle with the percentage of THC (or none) in the oils, to come up with what works for a particular customer, just as a regular medical doctor may up or lower levels of medication or change medications for a patient, depending on how they respond.

So you can't just buy stuff over the counter that isn't tested and regulated and assume it has no THC.

Thanks for your concern but NSAIDS ain't good for me and I only use Voltaren topically when a specific site gives me more pain than usual. And I only ever use branded products,no generics or similars EVER.

Meloxicam and diclofenaco are nsaids, but Alpha Acido Lipoico is an anti-oxidant anti-inflammatory.  Diabetics use it for nerve pain in hands, fingers and feet for example.  Takes a couple of weeks to kick in.

Mudgirl, once again you are exactly right. The human body has many receptors, and they vary from individual to individual. They have found that the pain receptors are also the same as the cannaboid receptors. The cannaboids, and terpenes, block the pain receptors. Everybody then is like a huge pile of padlocks. It takes a champion locksmith to open them all.

I get a slight buzz even from medicantes de abuelas. Peyote mushrooms, cannabis, and dicoflonec- surface cream application only. Available up and down the Chapala vendor strip. 160 pesos. Try it Pedro. Mexicans know aches and pains from many, many years of hard work.

And if you are a visitor, bring down a jar of inexpensive cold cream. Empty it, and fill with grandma's cream, otherwise it will never get across the border(s) on your way back home.

Pain receptors are primarily enkephalin receptors (opioids). The endocannabinoid system is actually a varied part of the endocrine system, however some people are predisposed to analgesia from binding of cannabinoids. I am not (so far) one of those people. My attempts to use cannabis to relieve pain have caused more intense pain. High grade CBD does not increase my pain but does nothing for me.

Interesting to read that, as it is exactly the same for me. Pot has never worked for me for pain, it does the exact opposite, makes the pain way more intense. I thought I was just some anomaly.

Also pot has never gotten me "high", as in feeling good. It just makes me want to go to sleep and that, in fact, is what I use it for. People have said "Oh, you just haven't had the right strain", but that isn't so. It all just makes me want to crawl under the covers and go to sleep.

Another strange reaction I have is to mixing pot and alcohol. I'm not talking a lot of alcohol or a lot of pot. It could be one beer or a glass of wine and one of toke of pot. It will cause me to pass out. If I'm lying down, I'm fine, but if I stand up, I'll pass out.

, ....SNIP

Like yourself and TimJWilson, I have found it intensifies my aches. Perhaps it makes some of us focus on the aches and some of us, it lets wonder from them (?).

In my case, it definitely isn't psychological, like I'm "focusing" on it- it really does physically intensify pain. I have had pain that is actually quite mild, nothing that's really bothering me at all nor that I am thinking about, I've basically forgotten all about it, but pot will suddenly make it hurt again.

Everyone is unique and everyone experiences pain differently. I am grateful that the CBD works for me. My hubby got no pain relief from ANY pain medication and suffered greatly before he passed away in 2015 from stage 4 colon cancer. Nothing worked. Not Buprenorphine or Fentanyl or Morphine... all starting low and working up to max doses and guided by a licensed pain specialist in Guadalajara. I wish he could have tried CBD.
