Bisbee Gal
I realize I can upload my hard drive's files/folders from my Windows PC to Google Drive, but that seems tedious. Is there a faster way, perhaps using a USB cable? I have Googled and found conflicting advice. Would appreciate anyone with recent experience. Gracias in advance. Curmudgeon
The best way involves removing the hard drive from your PC, then using an external case or harness to connect it to your Chromebook via USB. Difficulty really depends on the type of hard drive in your PC.
Go Solar
If you're just moving "data" files and folders, and not trying to move programs or an operating system, using an external hard drive or large thumb drive, (both with a USB connection) should work fine to "sneaker-net" the files from one to the other, using the external storage as the middle step. Just copy to the external device, and then once done or filled, move those to the new Chromebook. EZ-PZ. 1
