ea93105
I want to get a precision alignment at at shop with computerized machines... Prefer not going all the way to Guad.... Anyone know the closest shop with such equipment ? Thanks
RVGRINGO
Driving for more than three decades, before computers existed, precise alignments were accomplished by many mechanic shops, dealerships, etc. I am sure that option still exists nearby. Ask around; maybe at S&S, for a recommendation.
Mostlylost
Best alignment rack I have seen lakeside is at Car City in Riberas. I had some suspension work that required an alignment afterwards. A month later while in the USA I had a Firestone dealer check the alignment while I was having other service done and there computer printout said it was correctly aligned

I think it is called performance center That is where the former Car City is. Still by the same people. Cesar

RickS
They may be somewhere under another name but the Car City many of us used to go to on the Carretera in Riberas just east of San Mateo hasn't been around for a "Couple" of years now.
Mostlylost
They moved 1/2 block west. Same company. Now named Performance Automotriz.
ea93105
And they don't have alignment equipment.
AndyPanda
Pretty sure local garages use the tire place near Soriana, with the big Firestone sign.

Don't know but I stopped by their shop before getting some suspension work and asked them if they had the equipment and their answer was "no, but we get really close"
TelsZ4
Car City was one/is the worst garages around Lakeside. That’s why they changed the name.. 1
AndyPanda
I agree with that opinion 100%. They were consistently lousy and cheats, based on any number of reports from friends and acquaintances over the years. AND, from one mechanic who was a friend who worked there for a while and saw it all.
RVGRINGO
You could specify the brand of oil for your oil change. Yup! They had the containers, but one might be advised to see if they were sealed, as new. Then, they once put in an extra quart! I made them correct that "error". Never went back; but that was many years ago........perhaps things are different now.
HoneyBee
I think it was in 2008 when I had them replace a leaky transmission axle seal ( maybe has a different name) on my Toyota. Picked the car up and the transmission would no longer work correctly. They said "so sorry". Took it across the street to Escalera and they fix it (after replacing a part broken by car city).
