Wet Season

It rained all night in Riberas and I woke up with another 1.4 inches in the rain gauge. Add to that 1.5 inches in the gauge on Friday morning and 0.3 inches on Saturday morning. It's been a good rainy season so far. :)

The lake is going up sharply...

I wonder if those figures are from the same weather station over the years.

An historical tidbit from 80 years ago. ~ Rainfall in Ajijic in totaled 196.13 cm (77") in 1941, with measurable rainfall on 102 days. Now, that must have been WET!

For some (limited) evidence of average annual precipitation trends around the lake for the period 1920-2008, please see Fig 7.1 of Geo-Mexico.

We are about 5% above normal (since 1940). No where near record amounts as Tony Burton has pointed out.
