COVID-19 vaccine boosters unnecessary for most, say FDA advisers reportedly resigning over issue

Marion Gruber, director of the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review, and her deputy director, Phil Krause, set to leave in October and November, published a viewpoint in The Lancet on Monday along with other experts worldwide, arguing that the COVID-19 vaccines remain effective in preventing severe disease, including against the highly transmissible and dominant delta variant.

"Careful and public scrutiny of the evolving data will be needed to assure that decisions about boosting are informed by reliable science more than by politics," authors wrote, adding in part: "Widespread boosting should be undertaken only if there is clear evidence that it is appropriate."

The comments come after Dr. Janet Woodcock, acting commissioner of the FDA, and Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, recently advised the White House that regulators need more time to review necessary data before approving a COVID-19 booster shot plan.

A doctor cannot present a study without divulging if he has anything to gain, no matter how good a product it is.

This lady does say what her interests are but her subject is ethics and she is being unethical, thus going against her principles.

professional people have higher standards and she herself brings it up by giving her credentials.  If she wants to cry about her situation she should do it without trying to make it into an ethics lesson.

Armchair specialist?? Are a medical Specialist?? Braying??

I suspect some people have little else to do but surf the net and try and stir up controversy

Unfortunately I live this horror every day I am not retired in Chapala or where ever you are.

I am a "Front line " Doc exposed daily   Alberta ICUs are packed, patients airlifted because

local ICUs are filled with Corvid patients, cardiac surgeries cancelled. And this gal is upset,?

Perhaps she could be part of the solution, not the problem.

I know your realize that and you still bray on. Try something else to pass your idle time

Good luck to you
