Lexy
Polo Gonzalez is the person who came weekly to LCS to help us with our hearing-aids needs. I emailed him recently but didn't hear back, which is unusual. Does he still come to LCS weekly? Lexy
David Sherer
Was just at LCS and unfortunately there was a notice in front of where he used to see folks stating that he had passed away.
gringal
Does anyone know if there will be a replacement to help us?

joan sikes
I was told by LCS that Polo died about 3 weeks ago of covid. The LCS is trying to find someone else to come under the same conditions that Polo came but have as yet found no one to replace him. He was a very nice person to deal with and I miss him
HoneyBee
Glad to see someone missed him rather then who is going to replace him. 😒
gringal
Honeybee, what makes you think that the people who knew him don't "miss" him. Of course we do! He was a fine man with a generous spirit. Those with hearing problems do need someone to take his place, and that was the point of this thread. Lexy
Oh, how awful. I'm shocked. He was such a nice man. And so good at what he did. I wish I could send condolences to his family. I don't know if his wife is alive; she had a very long, on-going illness. Darn, that's bad news. gringal
I think they had an adult daughter who was assisting his wife. Hope so.
Lexy
As I recall, he had two daughters. I don't get to LCS very often. If someone gets an address and can post it here, I'd like to send my sympathy to his family. Lexy
CHILLIN
I don' t know if this is helpful, or might be considered spam, but Quality Care by San Antonio Hospital now has a part time hearing specialist. I have booked a hearing test for later this month. Cost is 1,400 pesos. Also new is an optician and framing specialist across from them on the second floor. There is an elevator.
