Kiko
Does anyone have first hand experience with these buried wire fencing products to keep small pets out of pool areas?
Ferret
Quote "Underground fencing systems can only be used with dogs who weigh at least 8 pounds." Do Underground Fences Work? | PetSafe® I'm not a fan. The article states that a "correction" will be given if the pet gets too close to the line. That's a nice way of saying they get an electric shock.
bmh
They work fine so the dog get a shock enough to surprise it.. You can control the shock and put it in such a way that it is a surprise but it will not hurt them..Have you seen mother dogs or other dogs correct dogs that bother them.. I think I would prefer a shock
MtnMama
Neighbors had one. THe dog would run out to chase something interesting and then not return because he didn't like the pain. So it would only work until something like a waterbird landed in your pool, the dogs chased it and fell in the pool. A short fence they can't jump over or knock down would work much better.
