Calling a 1-800 Number from TelCel Cell Phone

Hi, does anyone have first-hand experience calling a US 1-800 number from a Telcel cell phone? If so, would I dial according to what's listed below, and how much does it cost?

I found the following in a thread from 2018 but the poster was calling from a land line. The company I want to call does not have a local number, only a 1-800 number. Thanks.

Calling from Mexico to US or Canadian Toll Free numbers:
For 800 numbers: Dial 001-880 & the seven digit number
For 866 numbers: Dial 001-883 & the seven digit number
For 877 numbers: Dial 001-882 & the seven digit number
For 888 numbers: Dial 001-881 & the seven digit number

OK, so I called *264 and spoke to a CSR in English and what he told me didn't work, so I just went ahead and called 001-880 and the number. I don't have a 'plan' - my payment 'scheme' is Amigo Cobro Por Segundo at 0.85 pesos per minute. I was on the call for over 10 minutes and my saldo dropped by 10 pesos and 30 centavos, so it looks like I was charged the .85 pesos per minute!
