sm1mex
Can a book be sent to México from US? Seems like I heard it was a problem because of duty and IVA.
Mostlylost
Unless the law has changed recently books for personal use are duty free.
sm1mex
I need a new car manual in English. Over 500 pages.

Can't you get a download of the manual, it isn't like it will be on your coffee table?
sm1mex
Yes I did download it but it is over 500 pages and the schematic pictures of the things on the car are on the pages above the definitions so it’s back and forth. Sometimes there’s 20 things to read about and look at. The whole console is touch sensitive and many screens if you can figure out how to switch screens. About like a 747 cockpit. 🤨
sm1mex
Too many pages to print. Could never afford enough ink. 😖
dichosalocura
My mother orders books from Amazon USA from time to time and deliver straight to our house with zero problems.
HoneyBee
Glad I am not the owner of your car. ☺️
sm1mex
I’m not sure I can order a new car manual from Amazon?? I think I’m going to have to get one at a US dealer if I can buy one from them. They won’t send it but I think I can get a friend to bring it. sm1mex
Yes. New cars have so much technology and electronics. Older cars are easier to understand but they keep getting older and require more expensive maintenance or repairs. After 19 years owning the same car we decided to get a new one. Just have to study the technology of the dash console.
Brian Dalziel
Download the manual and take the file to a local copy shop for printing and binding. Normally that's more economical than shipping in a large book over the border.
Floradude
I have been using Amazon during the pandemic to order books from the US. It is not cheap. The shipping/handling charges can be more then the book. It just depends on which vendor the book comes from. No problems with customs. sm1mex
Brian. What local shop would you recommend?
conejorapido
Both Trinidad at the corner of the carratera and Allan W. Lloyd in San Antonio and the papeleria on the carratera south side in Ajijic can do this.
