dendonedw
I’m looking for black tea bags like is common in the states. Anyone know what grocery stores carry it?
AndyPanda
SuperLake, Panchos, Gourmet Garage. If you need directions, ask here. Import prices. Saw 80 Tetley at Pancho's the other day for 180p.... not too bad.

dichosalocura
Pancho's Market is in Riberas on your right, lake side, right before you start coming into Chapala.
sputnik
at Soriana, alot cheaper than "gringo stores"
AndyPanda
I haven't found a brand of black tea here that doesn't taste like grass. What can you tell me, sputnik? dendo, the last string of stores on the lake side heading out of Riberas before you get to the open stretch that leads to the little park on the right at the curves.
dichosalocura
Its before Parque Milagros. If you remember the old Brisas restaurant and where they sold the beads and patio furniture and did uphostery mountain side. It is just before that. Its a very large and nice looking building that is clearly marked with Pancho's Market on top.
Bisbee Gal
I bought some large family-size black tea bags for making pitchers of ice tea at El Torito recently. Essential Everyday brand (US). Can't remember price but it wasn't gringo priced (I have bought similar in past at Superlake with much higher markup). Owner is bringing more and more things to El Torito from Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco these days.
Alpha1
Being a tea drinker all my life, I found this to be the best available in the area. They don't have Red Rose...pity!

Sort of a no-name product. I asume you mean family-size packages of tea bags, not family-size tea bags.

Or were you referring to Everyday Essentials?

The pity is that Red Rose (Canadian blend) is not available here.

Our tastes certainly differ. I have bought the McCormick stuff. I do not like it at all. But thanks for clarifying.

If you can find it Red Swan loose tea is an excellent tea (IMHO). SuperLake sells it at times.
