Is going home to get a vaccine ‘jumping the line’? Many expats can go and get a Covid shot outside Mexico — should they?

Why not?  Given that covid is so minimal here, what vaccines there are should be left to the Mexicans IMO.  Also they just found counterfeit Pfizer vaccine in Mexico and Poland.  We will continue to follow the reports on side effects and efficacy and decide whether to take it at all and if we do, will get it when north on an extended RV trip in the fall.

On Monday, in the US, anyone over the age of 16 is eligible. With the increase in supply, especially when JNJ is back in the market, combined with decreased demand (much to everyone's chagrin), anyone will be able to get the vaccine.

As for "jumping ahead", it is a free market.

Covid is not confined to borders. Getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible worldwide is the smartest thing to do. In many places in the USA vaccine is not being used and doses are left over daily at mass vaccination sites because of no shows.

If those administering the vaccine have no problem with residency, age, etc. then why would anyone think it is wrong to receive the vaccination.  My nieces, nephews, son & daughter in law (all Mexicans) all received their vacs in the USA. None of them were over 60 at the time. The different locations in Texas gave them the shot, and made their second apts.
