ladner
IShop Mail were unable to send my fax today. Does anyone know if any of the papelerias have a fax machine, or have found another place to send one? TIA
WideSky
Trinidad Papeleria can fax - at the lights near Cafe Negro (closed on saturdays). Faxing is sooooo slow. I too have had problems at Ishop and had to try a couple times to get it thru.
Al Berca
Almost any real estate or legal office.
Bisbee Gal
Do it from home using your own computer. Plenty of free fax services online; free faxes are limited to a certain number of pages and/or faxes per day, though large faxes are pretty cheap. Easy to use. We used them to vote by fax, no problems. We used this one; you can see their free vs. for-fee pricing on the link below. 3 pages free, up to 2x a day; 10 pages only 98 cents; they take PayPal as well as credit cards. When you start a fax, they show its status through confirmation of receipt on the other end. To be sure I called the recipient to confirm it went through and it had. https://www.gotfreefax.com/

MIght want to try one of the free cell-phone fax services. No PC needed. Many of the "free" fax services are not; it can be hard to weed them out. One that is actually free for up to 3 pages: https://www.faxburner.com/dashboard/index?ft=1 All of them have weird methods.

Take a pic of document, send it to your email, then save. Proceed with fax service. I recommended one that I used four times; nothing weird about it and I gave the pricing, including the exact limits on free faxes. Have you used the one you have recommended? https://www.gotfreefax.com/
AndyPanda
As I said, you have to get the pic from your phone to the PC. Did not say yours was weird; was referring to some of the app procedures. For example, some services will only accept a PDF, not a photo, and some apps don't save as PDF. Yes, of course I have used the one I recommended or I would not have mentioned it. My main point about it is that it is an app that is actually free, whereas many apps give your a free app, but then charge you for the service. I will never recommend a service, a place or a person without hands-on. Unlike some others who simply Google for answers, which we are all capable of doing ourselves. Faxing from an iPhone is probably the easiest overall: https://www.fax.plus/help/articles/how-to-send-fax-from-iphone-for-free/ which I have not used, but the directions are very straightforward, using your phone as the fax without having to transfer photos, etc.
ladner
Thank you all. I went back to IShop this morning for another try, and voila! it worked. Last night, the free fax app I tried (PamFax) didn't work, and then I had Trinidad in mind. Appreciate your help.
