Despite being retired, I still put a value on my time....4 extra hours at GDL to save 20 bucks? No gracias! GoLab, 10 minute drive from house, friendly staff, less than 5 minutes in their office...report sent directly to my inbox. Que suave! Lived in MEX long enough to realize things can go wrong....rely on the airport testing site to get a test that I absolutely need in order to board a same-day flight...no way, Jose'! FYI, at GDL there is little social distancing in the terminal. While masks are required, most take the term "cubre boca" literally, wearing them below their noses.
Curmudgeon 154
I noticed today there is a drive through testing site next to the Ajijic Clinic.

But does it offer the antigen test or antibody? For entering the US, per the CDC direction the test must be an antigen or PCR. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html Here is the relevant section Quote What types of SARS-CoV-2 test are acceptable under the Order? Passengers must be tested with a viral test that could be either an antigen test or a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT). Examples of available NAATs for SARS-CoV-2 include but are not restricted to reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP), transcription-mediated amplification (TMA), nicking enzyme amplification reaction (NEAR), and helicase-dependent amplification (HDA). The test used must be authorized for use by the relevant national authority for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 in the country where the test is administered.
sm1mex 400
Soriana in Chapala now has a portable building in their parking lot. I think about 495 pesos mas or menus for antigen. Results while you wait. PCR more $$ and 1-3 days to get results.
sm1mex 400
You can get it before you fly.
