CHILLIN 1,704
What do think of this new development? An organic chicken stock with a 12 month shelf life. Ain't science woderful? https://www.perfumerflavorist.com/flavor/rawmaterials/natural/Diana-Food-Launches-Organic-Animal-Welfare-Solutions-573773991.html?utm_source=newsletter-html&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=PF+E-Newsletter+02-11-2021&absrc=hdl
Ferret 2,991
I'd buy it if it was priced reasonably. Now to find where it's available.
CHILLIN 1,704
Their rep for Latin America is trying to contact me. Who should I direct him to? Panchos, gourmet barn, or both. I don' t want to be a wholesale distributor.
AndyPanda 246
And Superlake. I imagine it will be too pricey for WM and Soriana. EDIT: It's Gourmet Garage.
Ferret 2,991
How about Costco Mexico or even Amazon Mexico as well. Just as long as they tell WHERE to buy it.
AndyPanda 246
My guess is the rep is looking for local interest. Or else he should be in a different job, if he doesn't grok Amazon and Costco.
Ferret 2,991
I just bought a NEW product in Walmart by Swiss Knorr. "Caldo de Pollo 100% natural: made with ingredients cultivated in a sustainable manner: without artificial coloring, flavouring or preservatives; without MSG; low in fat; easy solubility. Our promise: good for you and the environment." I'll try it out soon and let you know if they fibbed or not because I'm very msg sensitive.
AndyPanda 246
There is a product called Better Than Boullion that is kind of mind-blowing. It's a paste to which you add boiling water. It has these ingredients. ROASTED CHICKEN INCLUDING NATURAL CHICKEN JUICES, SALT, SUGAR, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, RENDERED CHICKEN FAT, HYDROLYZED SOY PROTEIN, DRIED WHEY (MILK), FLAVORING, DISODIUM INOSINATE AND GUANYLATE, TURMERIC. CONTAINS: MILK, SOY. I have seen it (every so often) at our local gourmet shops. Salt always seems to be a top ingredient in any of these, natural or not.
rafterbr 403
I don't see how the organic chicken can have a shelf life of a year without some preservative.
CHILLIN 1,704
A year would be easy with irradiation. But that system scared too many people in this country. India uses it a lot. edit. this info is way out of date, irradiation of food is now widespread all over the world. https://www.foodsafetynews.com/2018/01/acceptance-use-of-food-irradiation-reached-new-levels-in-2017/
