2-sessions class.
Wednesday, March 10 and 17.

From 10:00 to 11:15 a.m.

You must always be informed about emergency numbers anywhere in the world. It is not possible to predict these situations but there are ways to be prepared, and language should not be a limitation to ask for help. In these two-session class you will learn about the different emergency services in the area and the numbers you can dial; we will also practice our Spanish to give directions, describe events and talk about security or health.

Session 1:
Tipos de emergencias – Type of emergencies.
Vocabulario de las emergencias - Vocabulary for emergencies.
Números de atención - What numbers to call.

Servicios de emergencias  - Emergency services.
                       Vocabulario - Vocabulary
SE involuntario y pasado - involuntary and past “SE”
                      Conversaciones - Conversation

Voc. de la ciudad – Vocabularies for the city in emergencies.
ESTAR y HAY – Estar and Hay verbs
Protocolo de la llamada – Call protocol
Distinguir la situación – to distinguish the situation
Los simulacros – The simulation protocols for emergencies

Class: Use of the prepositions: en, a, de, desde.

2-sessions class.
Wednesday, March 24 and 31.

From 10:00 to 11:10 a.m.
$200
Prepositions help us to connect words in our language and, in addition, they complete the meaning of what we say. The questions "¿cuándo trabajas?" and "¿desde cuándo trabajas?" have a different meaning only because of the preposition "desde". It is important to keep in mind that not all prepositions in Spanish have the same functions as prepositions in English, so it is very important to practice the uses. In these two classes we will practice with four of them: A - EN, DE - DESDE. Through exercises and games, you will be able to identify their functions and use them appropriately in a sentence.

For beginners to advance students.
Session 1: EN vs A
Session 2: DE - DESDE

Class: Numbers and dates
2-sessions class.
Wednesday, March 24 and 31.

From 12:00 to 1:10 p.m.
$200
One of the most common interactions between non-Spanish speakers and the local community happens in stores and service offices. Usually, there’s no need to exchange much dialogue, but the challenge is to correctly identify -by listening- the total amount to pay. Perhaps this is a good time to dust off your math book and practice with us in this two-session class; you will be able to express quantities and recognize dates too, as well as the format used in Mexico and some time expressions as well.

For beginners.
Session 1: Numbers, figures, at the store (¿Cuánto es?) and say the time.
Session 2: Date format (days, months) and temporal expressions such as "in the morning", "last week, etc.
