Best restaurant on the Chapala waterfront

Mainecoons

Recommended Posts

Our college girls are coming for a week and we want to take them out to dinner in Chapala after we pick them up at the airport.  They really like the Chapala waterfront.  What are your favorite restaurants there?  I understand there's a new one past the Club de Yachtes that people really like..

Your suggestions gratefully solicited.

la casita changed the cheese some time ago and the flavor and quality of the cheese is very importnat to the flavor of the juice and the overalll dish. guichos molcajete is now much much bettter in my opinion

The flavour  does not come from the cheese and both places do it well,in any event. La Casita is nice enough to make me a molcajete for one when my wife has something else. Their regular size molcajete is huge and even when we share one we take home left overs.

wrong. how do you survive

wrong. how do you get by anyway

I am right as rain. There is more than one type of molcajete using various ingredients but the cheese type, usually near bland Oaxaca, is generally the cheese used. If you thing a  chicken and beef molcajete has the same flavour as camarone y pulpo because of cheese then how do YOU get by  and survive anyway.SNORK!

i never said anything like that. i did say the cheese plays an important part in the flavour. as usual you are nickel and diming every point to death in a wasted expression of hot air. you are definitely one of the people on my list that i would never trust to review a restaurant or a dill pickle or a bottle of beer or anything else for that matter.

Your reviews and general opinions on almost everything are filled with quality and extensive details then,oh wise and anonymouse sage[[grouse"].? jajajajajajaja! and a SNORK!

Second La Casa del Molcajete.  Always consistent food. Large servings with reasonable prices + free margaritas or white wine all you can drink.

Do they still allow smoking (as per your photo)? If so, that is instant restaurant repellent for me. Likewise flies, have a small appetizer first. If they don't have the time or the inclination to figure it out - walk out the door.

I hope that they do still allow smoking outside and during fly season them things  are everywhere as you should know by now. We were smoking outside so no door involved.
