CURP NUMBERS

Carnivore

Recommended Posts

The OP is incorrect: the first two keystrokes are the first letter of your last name followed by the first vowel of your last name. The naming convention is shown above in Mostlylost's post. And characters 12-13 for foreign-born CURP holders is NE (Nacido Extranjero).

My CURP starts out like this,"FAXC..." this does not appear to correspond to the info shown in Mostlylost's  article. but when I enter my name this is what appears. Some booboo? Or is this another deviation applicable to foreigners.

So this is what those letters relate to     Do they not match the name on the CURP document?

F   is the first letter of your last name

A   is the first vowel of your last name

X   is because you have no second last name  (normal for non Mexicans)

C    is the first letter of your first name

Example  Charles Robert Farmer
