I ride one and feel more comfortable on it than in the car. You also get through traffic easier...BUT you have to be doubly careful because drivers don't always see you, and I'm not talking about zipping in and out of traffic. You have to keep your distance because the scooters can't stop on a dime while cars can. Mine is only 150cc, but it's perfect for my needs. I just ride a cheapie Italika so that if/when it starts to fall apart, I don't have a lot invested in it. So far, I've had 3 and am happy. Hope that helps a bit.
