CHILLIN
Saw the Rhumology specialist who comes from Guadalajara every three weeks. I was asking for tips for natural health control of osteoarthritis. He recommends diet and excercise of course, but he also recommended this natural and safe alternative to drugs like Celebrex or Dicoflonec, which are hard on your stomach, and certainly not recommended for regular use. It may takeup to 30 days to have a positive effect, some people report relief after one day. Worth trying, I am buying. It seems avalable from farmacias like Mascara, who are English speaking and offer free delivery. https://www.warnerorthopedics.com/avocado-and-soybean-oil-to-relieve-arthritis-pain/

Celebrex: A highly selective reversible inhibitor of the COX-2 isoform of cyclooxygenase, celecoxib inhibits the transformation of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin precursors. Therefore, it has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.[3] Nonselective NSAIDs (such as aspirin, naproxen, and ibuprofen) inhibit both COX-1 and COX-2. Inhibition of COX-1 (which celecoxib does not inhibit at therapeutic concentrations) inhibits the production of prostaglandins and the production of thromboxane

This could be really be groundbreaking and ease a lot of aches and pains. It is expensive now, but the prices will drop with FDA approval in the USA (46 countries already approved) and their new factory to meet demand. If it works for me, I am buying shares. This is not multi level marketing bs. Imagine a fish oil which you can actually feel working, lubing your joints. Start tomorrow. Also golden milk at bedtime. A milky tea made with tumeric, honey and milk.

CHILLIN
This morning I used Dicloflenico cream on my kneecap. It worked really well. There is a type of British vegetable pickle called Picalilli, which contains a lot of tumeric and preserved vegetables. It is impossible to find here, or a ridiculous price. It is delicious with ham type sandwiches.
bmh
diclofenaco is in the mix with peyote and marijuna in the balm you can find on the street nd it works as well...
CHILLIN
This is the best Picalilli recipe I could find. Good time of year to make it with fresh harvested vegetables and perfect flavor and gifts by Christmas. CHILLIN
Also want to make some mild, vinegary red chile pastes, similar to Harrissa. BMH, have you been able to find a source for espellete chili seeds? They went from South America to Mexico to Southern France.
bmh
Espelette peppers are used in the Basque food and my fauly is Basque so I am familiar with the peppers, however I live in Mexico and have no use for them as they are way too mild for us. I have never looked for seeds.. so I cannot help you there..
bmh
by the way I use chile de arbol to make piperade and I find it hotter and better than with espelette.
gringohombre
What happened to the arthritic pain part??? I need something for my dog Minnie.
CHILLIN
Wow - that sent me to a place I did not want to go. I had no idea that dogs were still used in medical experiments. There have been many dogs used to find out if this oil works for dogs and then possibly for humans. The short answer is that it does work, but the Iranian scientists euthanised 200 dogs to find that out. Check with your vet, not an internet gadfly like myself. I didn't see any red flags, but what do I know. The vet is likely to look at you as if you came from outer space either way. The research papers on this subject are very dense. It is just a type of highly refined vegetable oil, which directly effects the changes in arthritic growth and pain. And even shows signs of stimulating new growth of cartilage and bone lubricating surfaces. seems to be 300 mg per day, with some food, or 300 mg every 3 days. If you try it on Minnie, let us know how it works out. I started on it this morning, and am having a pain free day. Although, as mentioned, I used Dicoflonec cream on my knee.

Which one are you talking about...there have been a few mentioned here. I would think that for a dog it would have to be in pill form, not a cream. Minnie is currently on 3-4 drops a day of CBD oil (1000 mg.), and 2 pills a day of Glucosamine w/ Chondroitin and MSN. This seems to be helping since she is now getting around as before she could hardly walk. Always looking for additional "natural" solutions. Of course I would always consult with Dr. Pepe regarding this as he is well aware of her situation and what she is now taking. Just curious but why would "Iranian scientists euthanized 200 dogs to find that out."?

Thank you for taking me down this path...additional research has shown: Firocoxib English Translation - Firocoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug in the class of COX-2 inhibitors, currently approved for use in dogs and horses. Firocoxib was the first COX-2 inhibitor approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for horses. Wikipedia (English)

CHILLIN
So far, so good today. This only helps joint pain, not muscle pain. I am doing a lot of muscle work right now. The Vascular Surgeon/Specialist at Quality Care said I wasn't getting enough blood to my feet because your body needs to excercise calf and lower leg muscles to move the blood. On a related note, Quality Care has managed to attract another Clinical Neurologist specialising in movement disorders ( the previous one moved to Merida). He comes once a week, I think Friday. This is a very high demand field. Before I moved to Mexico, I had to wait 3 months to see the only Neurologist of this type in British Columbia. He gave me a correct diagnosis after 4 years of misdiagnosis.
