Just a heads up. The locals don't like to talk about it but late December through end of January often sees rain, cloudy and cool in the PV area. Pineapple Express is prevalent many years and lots of disappointed tourists...FWIW.

Weather's changing everywhere. Yes, there are often cloudy, rainy days in Dec/January (the Mexicans have a name for those off-season rains, but I can't remember it). But last year it also rained hard a couple times in early March, as well. I remember that because my neighbor had paid to have some dirt dumped and spread on our rocky little dirt road, it poured rain 2 days later and it all washed down into the arroyo.
