southland
I did a search on the msg board and did not find any discussion. I read that Sputnik 5 vaccine is scheduled to come to Mexico in December. That is only 60+ days from now. What is advertised in photos on the COVAX literature is SINOVAC, the Chinese company long known for various vaccines. Sinovac was touting an immune response from its trials as far back as June. What are some of the opinions about these early vaccines, and how they will be made available and to whom and where? Thank you.

But below is the results of the last rushed vaccine for the swine flew. Not a huge thing but my Mom had red spots all over her body and had nausea for three days. Make up your mind if you want to be first. Mild problems that may be experienced include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given, fainting (mainly adolescents), headache, muscle aches, fever, and nausea. If these problems occur, they usually begin soon after the shot and last 1-2 days. Dec 15, 2009

cedros
It the Russian vaccine is properly vetted over a period of months and is shown to work and promoted by health specialists I would try it.
EldonNova
Do you not think it would be wiser to ask your family physician about these vaccines, as unless any of the people on this board are doctors, how can they validate their opinions? Your average GP knows no more about vaccines than what one can learn on the internet I am sorry to say. I was shocked how little my doctor knew about vaccines. Many doctors are trained by the vaccine makers same as how they learn about drugs from the drug companies. You have way to much faith in your GP doctor.
mexijims1
You really would trust taking the Russian vaccine?? I do not think it has been properly vetted by any world health organization standard.

I actually think that *he* said that. And remember.... he's our good buddy and would NOT mislead anyone, especially the USA.

Medicine and science are highly specialized fields. Your GP is no more qualified to give informed and comprehensive information on vaccines than they are to perform open heart or brain surgery. It astounds me how people simply put their faith in anything regarding medicine their GP might tell them. It's like assuming an astronomer could knowledgably give you advice on what might be ailing your tomato plants because astronomers and botanists are both scientists.
