Dental Implants

It depends on how much you want to spend.  The best in the area is Dr Haro or Dr Barragan  both very very good but expensive.

People who are on a budget use Dental Express, they use a machine to make the teeth, rather than custom made for each individual like the two above mentioned dentists do, but they are cheap.

Stay away a long way from Dr Candy..

That 'machine' you refer to is state-of-the-art dentistry and with it's use, crowns, bridges etc turn out waaaay more custom than the older technology using a plaster impressions mold. And 'same day' results rather than wait for a lab in Guadalajara to get around to your order.

My wife and I rely on Dr. Barragan's office for much of my dental needs too and would check with both he and Dental Express for the work that the OP is requiring. And while he and Haro's office are probably the most expensive in town, their charges generally pale when compared to US fees where the OP might be (from).

Wife had two implants there, one failed at 3 months the other at 3 years.

The “specialist from Guadalajara” chipped two teeth in the tooth extraction. (her brother?)

And, we ‘kept an eye on’ a cavity for five years.

Dental express drilled and filled when it was noted during cleaning.

These are the reasons for my opinion. Of course, each patient is unique and

results do vary.

We have had absolutely no problems with Dra. Candy.  My husband has 4 implants from her, two of them are now 8 years old.  He has had major dental problems that she has corrected.  We have written guarantees from the implant manufacturer and, her personal guarantee to remedy any problems that might occur.  We also recommended her to a friend from NOB that had all of her teeth removed and all replaced with implants.  She too has had no problems and that was 6 years ago.

Regarding tomgates comment about "keeping an eye on a cavity" and not filling it right away.  I have had the same cavity that has not enlarged for 9 years and we are check it every 6 months to see if it needs to be filled.  It is very small.

Dr. Haro's office did a great job. Not him for the extraction, a specialist from Guad. Extraction was very quick, painless. Going months with a fake tooth is annoying no matter who you go with of course. They took two very small lower front teeth out and we decided to put one pin back in, with two teeth on that one pin. There is a dark shading creating a 'line' between those two teeth. Color matched well, and I've had not problems, almost two years.

Why no Candy. Have things changed there?

Nothing has changed. People have had problems with her from the start

This may be true of 'some people', but from the beginning and for several years people were singing the praises of Dra. Candy, both from a standard dentistry standpoint and for implants.  This BTW is true of about every dentist at Lakeside.... sooner or later there will be stories of good, great, fair and terrible service  about every dentist in town. Some more than others, but....

Some people were singing the praise of Dra. Candy because her office was convenient and easy to find and there was parking. Many dentists in town don't have complaints so if you hear a few complaints beware.
