Recommended Posts

Per the US CDC: "A vaccine to prevent dengue (Dengvaxia®) is licensed and available in some countries for people ages 9-45 years old. The World Health Organization recommends that the vaccine only be given to persons with confirmed prior dengue virus infection."  See: https://www.cdc.gov/dengue/prevention/dengue-vaccine.htm

Have no information about its' availability anywhere.

I had the vaccine against Dengue  several years ago. No dengue so far but I did have Dengue about a year before I got vaccinated. The doctor was not certain that it would work but it seemed like worth a try.

Be careful with this vaccine. In the U.S., it is not approved for use in individuals not previously infected by any dengue virus. The CDC link utilitus provided has the warnings:

The vaccine manufacturer, Sanofi Pasteur, announced in 2017 that people who receive the vaccine and have not been previously infected with a dengue virus may be at risk of developing severe dengue if they get dengue after being vaccinated.
