Bisbee Gal
For a bit of context this chart shows both raw death numbers as well as deaths per 100K population. Mexico is almost 2x the population of the UK.
Mainecoons
Mexico doesn't really know how much CV they have. You get away from the major cities and the medical system, testing and monitoring is pretty sketchy. https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/coronavirus/covid-case-numbers-could-actually-be-7-million/

bmh
C, orrect in France the death rate represent the people who died in the hospitals, does not include all the death on old folks homes and at home .I have to say that people in Europe tend to go to the doctor and hospital much more readily than the people in Mexico but still I do not belileve that any of the numbers reflect the reality. In Mexico, none of the indigenous who are getting sick( in spade) go to the hospital because of the refusal to believe that the ashes they will get from the hospitals are the ones from their love ones.So they die at home and are not included.. dichosalocura
Is there some law in México that says that if you are suspected of dying from Covid you must be cremated?

But is isn't only Mexico that doesn't know for sure. That includes Brazil and central american countries as well as Syria, Iraq, Indonesia. Then there are the countries that won't tell the truth like China, N Korea, Turkey, Iran. Even Countries like the USA have widely variable criteria for calling a death a covid death. The USA recently included a motorcycle accident and shooting death. So who really knows?
