These Lebanese immigrants came to Mexico in the 1930s; at that time Lebanon was a predominantly Christian nation.  While lamb is traditional throughout the Middle East, pork was not banned in Lebanon  at that time.

Got it, good job even from a bad photo.     

A nice 1/2 day outing for those at lakeside, including the lancha trip back and forth, a historic tour on the isla, some time in Mezcala centro / plaza and the museum if it is open, and hitting Focaccia as well.
