Hopefully they will be able to do so with modifications, so I would assume the US-Mexico border crossings will reopen and begin issuing FMMs and TIPs? International flight were not restricted. You could fly in and get a FMM tourist card. TIPS were being given and FMM tourist cards were being given all along - unofficially - it was reported by some posters. Mexico agreed to cooperate with the US on this but really did it half-assed. jrod Posted May 12, 2020 Report Share Posted May 12, 2020 The federal health update tonight documented that Cancún peaked this weekend; however, Veracruz hasn't hit the apex of its curve yet and Jalisco is delayed--we now are not anticipated to peak until June 11--more than a month from now. Add 61 days from then till we get back to Fase 1...the west coast of Jalisco may miss the 2020 season. Monterrey, NL is on the same schedule as Jalisco, so that may be problematic for land travel trying to make its way to Jalisco. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mainecoons Posted May 12, 2020 Report Share Posted May 12, 2020 Ironically just before all this got rolling our kids took us to one of those all inclusive mega hotel places in Huatulco. Thinking back on it I can't imagine how a place like that can possibly function even with minimal requirements for social distancing and mask wearing. There is just constant human contact and proximity in these places. Truthfully we didn't much care for it because of this, big crowds are just not our style. Until this thing is really under control, and that means a vaccine or so many people getting it that herd immunity occurs among the survivors.
