The Transitos could probably fund the Chapala budget writing tickets for parking on the Ajijic bike path PLUS all the road blocking double parking that goes on in Chapala.

My question would be what happens if a vehicle breaks down in traffic?  Now there is nowhere for it to go but bring everything to a standstill. 😧

This is Mexico...vehicles  break down on non passable streets all the time...cars reverse on one way streets...people do reverse U turns on the Carretera....the beauty is  ? It all works out ... Stop whining , bitchin and moaning ...let it play out ...maybe you’ll grow to like it...probably not.... personally l love it...we’ll probably buy new bikes ..will it slow traffic down ....? sure ...who  cares ..get a better stereo....chill out ...

Within minutes there will be helpful Mexicans pushing the broken down car off the street, having a laugh while doing so.

Good for you.  I hope it works.

It has for me on several occasions on my too heavy moto.  This is one of the things about Mexicans that is really neat.  They'll just jump right in and help out without being asked.
