cedros
According to Birds of Mexico and Central America it is widespread and common. Looking at at distribution map it is more common nearer the coast on both the east and west of Mexico. It can't be that common as I have only seen a few. lakeside7
I have never seen one, but from the web page there numerous varieties . I am envious of those birders who are expert on bird recon ion and species .
mudgirl
Speaking of wildlife sightings, my cat deposited a dead rodent gift in my kitchen doorway the other night. At least I assumed it was a rodent- it looked like a mouse at first glance- it wasn't a baby rat, for sure. However, it had black rings around its eyes and a pointier snout than a mouse. I did some research to find that it was a Grayish Mouse Possum- the smallest possum in the world, only get about 7 inches long, including the tail, which is half its total length. They are classified as marsupials, although they don't have a pouch. As they have litters of 8-14, I'm rather glad my cat did it in.
artsnob
I have a pair squirrel cockoos nesting in my orange tree, the morning doves moved over to he cedar tree, in the morning they all sing to me, if we weren’t on lock down I would invite to see them, also the rain birds are singing in my garden, maybe it will rain soon as the heat in afternoons is unbearable.
mkshawn
Between 14:00 & 16:00 all my birdies are having a siesta, smart little fellas aren't they? At 16:30 they all come bye for a short dip in the dunk pool, noisy bunch!
luvsdawgs
Too bad the cat killed it as it is a good animal to have around, one of its' foods is cockroaches. It is not a mouse.
