cedros
I want to make a collect call to a Canadian MC number. You used to do it by dialing 090 and asking for an international operator but that does not work on my cell phone. How can you do it? Mostlylost
Calls from a Telmex landline or a Mexican cell are free to the USA or Canada so maybe international operators here are a thing of the past.

I think you are right. Using Telmex call does not go through. On Telcel very hard to hear. It was much better when they had the international operators. Frijoles
We have had to call both MC and AMEX in Canada recently. Also the tax man and Service Canada. We just dialed 001 + the 10-digit number without a problem from our Telmex landline.
bournemouth
And if everything here fails, search out the regular number of the enterprise you are trying to reach and call for free on your land line or cell phone.
