Tingting
Our internet (good old Telmex) has been really spotty for the last few days. Yesterday, the phone was out for most of the day, but the net was in and out. Suddenly, the phone returned but the net is still super-spotty. Anyone else? This is in Chapala Haciendas. Mainecoons
Not here in SE Ajijic. Those 15 meg speeds have disappeared however.
Tingting
Yeah, we noticed that, too. It was great for a long time and now....pfffft. BTW, I just that Eric had already posted about this, so that answered the question.
johanson
Everything good with my internet speed from Telmex in upper west Ajijic. I'm getting a normal ping and normal 19 MB/sec down by 5.05 up. I get the idea that where you live has a lot to do with speed and reliability. I live 1070 meters from my internet connection (DSLAM card) per the Telmex folks, the wiring is relatively new and everything is great. But live in an area where the wiring is old and you are far way from your internet connection and the reliability and speeds seem to be much worse. lcscats
ILOX has been normal FYI in SAT. However many streaming servers are obviously overloaded at times these days.
Eric Blair
No internet Chapala Havendas For a week, finally got phone back 3 days ago. You must call and report or you will be bypassed.
Floradude
Interesting variations. Here at my home in Upper Ajijic we seem to lose WiFi about once a week. In the past I would be calling Mexico City but now Telmex notifies us on our smartphones that they are aware of it and do not call. When my modem/WiFi goes down I do however have my telephone. I have never lost telephone service. That only happens at my house when I lose electricity.
ComputerGuy
You must call and report because it may be an isolated case. CFE and TelMex only respond to an "area" if they get more than two calls about the same thing.
happyjillin
Good here in Lourdes. Since I got the new modem,my speeds have been more than doubled. pedro kertesz

chapalence
UPDATE: It was nice while it lasted, but then back to connected..not connected..connected...not connected. This time I called and they said the "system is unstable". No shit, Sherlock!! "They'll be working on it." I used the report feature on the Telmex app about 5:00 last night and things are much improved today. You need to understand and write spanish to use it effectively.
