Taaffe
A question please. I will be away from Ajijic for an indefinite period of time and have a new receiver, etc. I would be willing to lend the receiver to someone who would continue to pay my part of the subscription. If anyone is interested please pm me. thanks
RickS
Not on topic but.... what is Shaw CABLE?
johanson
Shaw Cable is Shaw Directs cable service in Canada. Only their satellite service is available south of the border.
Taaffe
I thought someone would be needing more entertainment. My subscription has HBO, AMC, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and a bunch of others

The only Shaw service I was aware of was via satellite. Does that mean that the 'receiver' is ethernet-in capable? I'm just curious. May need to come out of the 20th Century vis a vie Shaw. ComputerGuy
Yes, you are correct. A dish is needed. The receiver is not Internet-ready in this country. (There is an ethernet port on the box. TV on Demand is what it's used for, but it does not work here.)
