Price of fruit

Recommended Posts

I make fresh orange juice every day and as far as I can remember my mom did to. I use to buy my oranges at the Chapala Tiangy for 9 pesos a kilo. When this market was closed I went to Soriana's. About 4 days ago it was about 14 pesos a kilo. Today it was close to 18 pesos a kilo. I buy a lot because I also make juice for my neighbors family. Just wondering why the sudden price increase.

no.... FUTURES are based on market predictions of what will happen to prices a few months down the road, based on various criteria.  Just read on a news page that demand for healthier foods, including orange juice, is driving the futures up.  That has a direct effect on supply chains.......
