Informative post in case you were/are worried about your MX bank account.

I had a "crisis" momentary thought yesterday when I recalled that money in Mexican banks is/was not insured. No FDIC as in the U.S.

I thought about the run on banks in the 30s, and how Mx. had devalued the peson some years ago.

I wondered if it could happen again.

This morning, some research and a call to my Mx. banker, showed and confirmed to me what I found.

Here is the information .

Feel free to tell me everyone knows this and/or it has nothing to do with anything and no one is interested.

That's all any of you have to do.  What I see here is an informative post followed by some pretty unpleasant personal attacks.

Edited and moved to Mexico general.  Some of you really should be ashamed of your personal nastiness.
