phil in mexico
is ayuagente water still in business and how are there prices, I'm getting too old for the bottles ?
Mainecoons
Yes. It is Aguagente. We have it in our student apartment in GDL. Excellent. They install, do all routine and repair service very promptly. Saves our girls having to haul garrafons up three flights of stairs. Had a local renter friend who had it, also very satisfied and had it moved to her new place. Here is their website. https://www.aguagente.com/ Recommended!
El Cartero
What is it, a reverse osmosis system? I scanned the website and thought they Just went on and on and on so maybe I missed it. Couldn’t see the cost except it was free if 6 persons were brought into the fold.
Mainecoons
Yes, it is a packaged RO and filtration system. When you factor in the cost of replacement filters annually, the maintenance cost which includes this and on site service if there are problems is very reasonable.
11AS
Do they have to perforate the countertop or the kitchen sink in order to install it? Or can they use the existent faucet to provide the filtered water?
Mainecoons
They add a separate faucet. In the apartment the laundry is next to the kitchen. We put the unit in there with the faucet over the laundry sink. They only use if for cooking and filling their pitcher of drinking water they keep in the fridge, or anything else they were using bottled water for. This way we got rid of the bottled water delivery hassle and cost.

You don't need replacement filters is you use a sand filter. You just back wash it automatically on a regular, predetermined, basis.

On this scale, sand filters too big and also do not filter adequately to keep the RO from getting fouled.
