Busterdino
Hi I have a bad case of bronchitis and lung and sinus infections. My dr had me order oxygen. Its a machine and not a tank, i dont feel its helping at all. Has anyone been on both and could let me know which worked better. I had a bad case of flu in 2016 and i was on a tank. I could breathe normally in one day. Any answers etc would be much appreciated. Thank you. Have a good day.
RVGRINGO
The tanks are often filled by concentrator machines, like yours, feeding the oxygen to a high pressure compressor of similar size. That is the new protocol and exactly what I now have at my home, here in the USA. I can use the concentrater while it is being used to feed the compressor, or I can use another portable tank. The product is the same. I am sure that you know how to adjust your rate of flow. You may simply need a higher rate. If you still see no improvement, have your machine serviced, and see a pulmonologist if that does not help.
happyjillin
I am using 2 machines in my house because I need to do it 16 hours/day and have also used the tank and there is no difference in the oxygen supplied. Oxygen will not "fix" your bronchitis nor flu only running their course or pharma treatment can do that. The oxygen therapy is necessary if your lungs can not produce enough for your red blood cells on their own. Are you seeing a specialist? Jreboll
See if you can buy a finger oxygen sensor to give you an idea of what your concentration is. It should be above 90%. If you’ve had blood work done check your hemoglobin. You should have it above 12. https://www.amazon.com/Beurer-Fingertip-Saturation-Automatic-PO30/dp/B00LO3DCAC/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=3615TI2JZEVKX&keywords=oxygen+saturation+monitor&qid=1583347028&sprefix=Oxygen+%2Caps%2C235&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFKRVpHMFJOMEFCMlMmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAwNzUxMzVBRFhDOVlVVzEzTTEmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDIyMDgyMUVHTkY5M1dCVUhJOCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
