sm1mex
I have had my purse at the Ajijic leather man on the lakeside in Ajijic for over 2 weeks. He has done nothing to repair my 2 small broken zippers on my purse. Promises every day to have it ready. After 4 trips to pick it up nothing has been done. Where is another leather repair shop. PLEASE.
Mostlylost
Have you asked at the shoe repair shop?

sm1mex
I corrected my original post. The leather shop that won’t fix my purse is on the lake side across from the old Rustico restaurant.
Ferret
The Leather Shop that you're talking about is on the lakeside of the Hwy just east of Colon. He is notorious for promises BUT your timing was unfortunate as well. At this time of the year, he is busy making product to sell at the Chili Cookoff which started today and finishes Sunday. And, I'm sorry, but I don't know of another worker in leather that does zippers. He is worth waiting for if you have the patience. I happened to drive by there today... he's closed... but now you know where he is.... and I Laughed Out Loud at the sign on his closed doors saying "ready in 24 hours". Yes, the traffic was sooooooo slow that I got to sit in front of his store in my car for five minutes.
ibarra
There is a place on the other side of the street that will repair your purses. I can't give exact directions. Maybe someone else can help with that. Or, stop at Mia's and ask them where it is. They use this person for all of their leather repairs.
canmex87
The shoe repair store in Chapala dopes zipper repairs. They are on the south side of Degollada in second block east from Madero.
