How many times does it take for you to get the spelling right?

Why do you want to leave Progreso?  Too much seaweed and blowing sand?  That's why we took a pass some years ago when we checked it out.

Very doubtful there are more than very few expats in Tapalpa. It is a basically weekend & holiday town in the mountains for Tapatios.  Not much there for everday living.

If you researched it thoroughly, you'd know it's TAPALPA.

Actually if I was not tied down with difficult to sell real estate, I would consider moving to Tapalpa. The air is still clean. The town is clean and its quiet pretty much from Monday to Thursday. The wealthy from Guadalajara show up on weekends and Holidays.

If I wanted to move to a mountain town I'd go for Mazamitla for much better access to GDL.  Tapalpa is lovely, we ride there fairly frequently but there really is nothing there at all.  I reckon the Tapatios who go there take pretty much everything with them.

Both towns very clean and obviously well run.  Both also would get a lot more rain than here.
