Eric Blair
I mailed a letter 3 days before Christmas, regular #10 letter envelope w/full postage. Cost? $60.00 I mailed a letter today, same as above. Cost? $90.00 I asked why the increase? Response: Computer. Safe and healthy 2020 to all.

I used them to send back my annual letter to Social Security confirming that I had no earned income and that nothing else had changed. It must have made it in plenty of time because there was no disruption of deposits.
Yo1
I don't trust the Mexican postal service to get things to the border in a timely manner. I wouldn't use them for time sensitive mail. I also don't like IShop's exorbitant prices either, but sometimes it's worth it.

I'm of the opinion that the issue isn't always the length of time to get to the border., rather the time it takes for foreign mail to clear the mail check at US customs. It's the same coming this direction. I get official US mail delivered to my Chapala home in 7-10 days but a postcard or regular letter takes 4-6 weeks.
Eric Blair
And of course FedEx really costs up the kazoo.
gringohombre
Why are we debating this? $60 or $90 to get a letter to the U.S. (under one week usually)? You answered your own question above so why are you complaining? I have had a mail box and account with IShop for almost 12 years and have had nothing but the best service and prices for all kinds of services and Maria and Oscar are the best!
Ferret
The Mexican mail service is truly snail mail. However, I look forward to getting my Christmas cards in March of every year. They are very consistent in that manner. If something needs to get somewhere in a timely, efficient and secure manner then pay the price. Either a service that goes up to the border and posts IN the U.S. or some other courier service if you want to be able to track it and see that it was received and who signed for it.
