dichosalocura
According to the local paper, it MIGHT be opened in January 2020. Apparently, they are building a new building to house it, it will be located by the Chacaltita parking lot. I'm not exactly sure where that is yet. Here's the link: http://semanariolaguna.com/47244/ Isn't that the parking lot across from the Chapala yacht club where everybody pzrks for the Feria Maestros del Arte? It seems to me I saw the aseo publico sign there, but I could be wrong.
dichosalocura
Actually, I have no idea where it is going to be put, my gut instinct told me somewhere up by Soriana, but I really have no idea. I can only go by the article put out by El Semanario, Chapala´s local newspaper. It said it would be in the estacionamiento de Chacaltita, since I have no idea where that is, I can´t help much. But I loved the part where it said that "y podrían comenzar a operar en enero de 2020." Which literally means "and they COULD begin to operate in January of 2020." So, basically they have no idea when they will officially begin to issue driver licenses. So lets just say that by June, if God willing, they will be up and running, "Ojalá!." If you remember, last spring the rumor was that it would be up and running by last summer time.....
slainte39
They are sharing the building with Aseo, which is being remodeled and added on to, directly behind the Cruz Roja facility. Went by a couple of days ago and they still have a lot of work to finish. With the size of the crew, I would say it will be a couple of months before it´s ready to go.

thegogulskis
I read that they could be working out of another building near where they are building the new office?
