Eric Blair
No, not a laptop, but the car computer under the hood. They got to it from under the driver side wheel well. Must have had commercial wire cutters since both multi-wire leads were nicely clipped. Took my mechanic 2 weeks to find a replacement.
El Menudo
What kind of car do you drive? How strange a thing to steal.
sue
I know 2 other people it happened to one by Dental express in the afternoon and one in Riberas also mid day . What surprised me is that the car insurance did not cover the loss.
Xena
This has been going on for months from various locations but Walmart seems to be a favorite spot. It seemed to have settled down for awhile but maybe starting back up again. Very frustrating since it is expensive and time consuming to replace the computers. gringohombre
I drive a 1984 Ford F150 pickup truck. No computer to steal or any electronics to go wrong. Armando, my mechanic can get any part quickly and cheaply and every 6 months to a year a tune up and check for defective parts and am on the road again (great song title)!

Jim Bowie
Walmart has cameras on their parking lot. I had my car keyed, and they looked and saw the guy do it. However, they said they could not read his plates when he drove off.
Kiko
Best parking spot at any WalMart is at the door where the armored truck arrives to pick up the money. "That" camera always is functional. The others maybe or maybe not.

Sorry to hear that on top of the loss.....they say on "certain" streets in Guad, one can buy back likely their same part, a couple of hours later.... 😉 mind you that only tends to encourage the thieves..... johanson
I thought that because my Honda is 6 and 1/2 years old, that it would not be a target. I see I am wrong, Eric. Your car isn't new either. Yet it was targeted. Sorry to hear of your loss.
InChapala1
Sorry to hear about this. The Walmart parking lot is usually a busy place with customers and car wash guys. What time of day did this occur and were you parked far from the entrance?
