Taaffe
Semanario Laguna´s print edition reports that "officially" 8 dogs near the plaza of Jocotepec have been poisoned, but the head of Ecology, Pedro Camareno, says there are at least 12 to date; one of which belonged to a foreigner who frequents the café in the Center. María Aparicio, an animal activist for 20 years, has presented a complaint with the Ministerio Publico, because the killing or hurting animals is now a crime, with fines of 8 - 15 thousand pesos. The man who has poisoned these animals has been seen, but as of the publication of the paper, not yet identified.
Eric Blair
I hope the people get to the person who poisoned the dogs before the "system" does. If anyone thinks the Ministerio Publico is going to do anything about dog poisoning, when it rarely does much about major crimes, in living in LaLa land. IMO. luvsdawgs
It has been reported on FB that over 50 dogs have been poisoned also cats and birds. Doesn't matter if they are on the street, their own property or on a leash. A 24/7 hot line has been set up and they are investigating. It has been stated Joco will be creating a shelter as well. The video was in Spanish so do not have all the info. I think the man must be the Mayor, don't know though.
