Cabbie
The I am trying to find info on Lakeside internet providers. Telmex and iLox are not an option. No phone needed, just internet. What other options are there please?
johanson
It depends on where you plan to live. There is a local cable company that serves many communities and Telcel the local cell phone provider, they also offer internet. An expensive alternative is via satellite. There are many options. RickS
As mentioned, the/both cellphone carriers Telcel and AT&T have an at-home box that acts as an Internet mi-fi, taking in the cell signal and broadcasting a wifi signal in your house. Good speeds and not that expensive. I think that one must buy the box under these programs but am not for sure. Just make sure that the cell signal at/inside your casa is good or it won't work very well. Telcel generally has better Lakeside coverage than AT&T but for any specific address that may be just the reverse.

You can use the tethering function on your phone as the modem, you don't have to buy their modem. But then it's a pay as you go deal, and a metered connection, not an unlimited service for XX pesos/month.
