Telmex modem is not recognizing the password

Are you trying to get into the modem, or hook up to your computer?

Try resetting the modem to factory. In the second case, try removing and reinstalling your WiFi software drivers.

No device is connecting to the modem, using the Telmex SSID and password as per the label on the unit.

Did a pinhole reset and still will not recognize the password, but  the SSID is visible by the Wifi setting of any device attempting to connect.

Is this a modem that you have been using and previously responded to the password on the label?  If not, a previous owner could have changed the password.

If possible, use another 'device' to try to log into the modem and see if the modem will not let that device log in either.

Did a reset, both power cycle and pin reset, no luck. It was working previously, but I would have thought that the reset would restore to factory set as per Telmex label info.

The factory reset most definitely resets the WiFi password and everything else about the modem's firmware... unless the modem is broken. Sometimes a reset is not possible: this is usually obvious by noting that the lights don't begin to flash and then power off while doing a factory reset, even after a full 60 seconds.

If no devices can attach, it is unlikely (possible, however) that multiple devices are at fault. I have recorded a number of TelMex modems with failed WiFi hardware.

I had a case just two days ago where three devices in the house were not connecting to the modem WiFi. One was a bad software driver; the other was user error and a modem reset.

If you are certain you have done everything correctly to correct (you might want to bring a friend over who has a cell phone and try connecting to that), then you should begin the process of exchanging your modem, either by going to the TelMex office with it, or calling Mexico City support for Infinitum at 1-800-123-2222.
