Saw a sign on the door that they are closing permanently and suggested Andares or Tlaquepaque. Like seriously? I put $200 every 30 days for phone and data. Can any other place do this? Thanks.

Are you sure the sign did not say "permanece" or "permanecen"........ because that would indicate they would remain closed.... for the day.   Maybe the 2 other locations were going to stay open, holiday or not?

When I inquired about the Telcel addition to my Telmex bill, I was told (at the time a year ago) that they could do that ONLY if I bought a cell phone from Telmex. Has that changed?

Have done it with non-Telcel unlocked phone,  just an Amigo chip, no hay problema.

I always go to Ana's office. She's next to Alex's Pasta Bar in Ajijic.

Went there once. What a nightmare! I sat in that office waiting my turn for over 30 minutes. Now, tt takesme less than a minute to do it on my BBVA (Bancomer) App.

I also like Go Solar's suggestion to use Telmex. There are far easier and more pleasant ways to spend time than waiting to buy tiempo aire.

TelCel office open as usual...my apologies for not reading the sign correctly. Permanent seemed pretty easy!

That's what is known as a false cognate...a word that appears to be like a word in another language but has a different meaning.  Reminds me if the time some people thought the Coca Cola plant was vacating their spot in San Antonio because of the big sign out front reading "Vacantes," which actually meant they had job openings.

Isn´t that more like what is called a "false friend" rather than a "false cognate"?  Like the adjective "embarazada" and "embarrassed" which is commonly misunderstood around here. Also "parientes" and  "parents".

Open...yes, but are they selling large eggs ?

Assorted sizes...priced by the kilo but lower than the tiangus vendors. Going fast so better hurry.

It was open Tuesday when I drove by.

They are  going to be closed permanently the rest of the evening and on,  until tomorrow AM.  They will make a decision then whether to reopen or not, and that will be the policy on a day to day basis for the foreseeable future.

The Casino will post a daily betting line on the over/under…..Ooops,  I mean the open/close wager the day previous.

I´m waiting for confirmation on this information from the Lake Chapala Reporter, courtesy of Lisa Jorgenson.
