Bus to Guadalajara

Is there a directo bus from Ajijic to Guadalajara not stopping in Chapala.

Yes. Goes up the libramiento and on to Guad. $59 full fare and $30 with an Inapam card.

Just one an hour. Leaves ajijic on the half hour. 

Im not sure if you can still get imapam discount unless you buy ticket at the office.

What bus station does it go to in Guadalajara. Tonala or centro.

Central vieja. In the centre. stops at el alamo, and one or two places after on the way in, on gonzalez gallo.

To my knowledge NO buses from Lakeside go to the 'new' Tonala station.

Tonala is a long distance bus station and Central Vieja has the local buses.. I do not know of any bus from Lakeside to Tonala. You can only get a discount from the station.

Their buses run 365 days a year, and generally run every 20 to 30 minutes in the daytime (from around 7-8 am until 8:30-9 pm and sometimes later). They are surprisingly punctual, rarely varying more than a few minutes from their scheduled time. Some of the outlying smaller areas may only have bus service arriving and leaving once an hour.

I think the OP wants to know the hours of the Ajijic ticket office... it is located on the highway in the first block east of Colon on the southside. Curb is painted yellow so no cars can park there... just the buses.

You can buy your ticket on the bus.  The only way to find the hours is to call and ask.

I take the directo from Racho del oro , it goes by between 15 minutes after the hour and 30 mnutes after the hour.. Do not believe that they always work on time to the minute..Maybe from the stations but not on the carretera.

If you want the discount wait for it at the station in Ajijic a little past Colon going east..

A little west of Colon, as I recall the station location.....On the south side of the carretera. 

The bus will be going east.

It has changed to a little EAST of Colon on the south side of the carretera. At least now, people can turn onto Colon when the bus has its big butt sticking out blocking the carretera. It does have a larger area in which to park now but the drivers can't seem to do it properly.

Yes you are right it is EAST.. not west.. RV things change.
